During warm temperature days, the Methanol Thermostat interrupts the supply gas that serves the gas-operated pump.  

Four temperature settings range from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit plus On/Off positions for manual control of the methanol pump. The solar powered MPT (methanol pump thermostat) controls the gas supply to the methanol pump. During warm weather, no methanol is used which means big savings on chemical costs. Instead of freezing flow lines, the MPT frees up the operations technician from responding to a change in the weather.
