Under certain conditions, high pressure can damage soap sticks before the stick is dropped into the wellbore. The lower chamber of the M9EE-HL prevents excessive pressure from reaching the soap stick storage canister. When the location line pressure is <300 psi, the HL Launcher is not required. When soap sticks are stored at pressures above 350 psi, they will subsequently disintegrate if they undergo depressurization. The M9EE-HL SoapStick Launcher can successfully isolate soap sticks from high pressure.
The 900 psi upper limit is a function of the inability of the ball valve actuator to open at high differential and is not related to safety pressure ratings.
